UIndy Men Jump to No. 1 in CSCAA Division II Poll; Colorado Mesa Holds Women’s Spot
The University of Indianapolis jumped to No. 1 in the latest men’s swimming CSCAA Division II Poll, leaping from the third spot.
On the women’s side, Colorado Mesa holds the top spot in an unchanged top three in the polls released on Friday.
UIndy is 9-1 this season, the only loss in its opener to Purdue. The Greyhounds are the reigning NCAA champion.
UIndy jumped past Drury by one point in the standings. Drury drops a spot from the last poll, with the University of Tampa sliding from No. 2 to No. 3. Grandy Valley remains No. 4 with Colorado Mesa holding at No. 5. Only one school on the men’s side moved more than two spots, with Colorado School of Mines sliding from 19th to 23rd.
Colorado Mesa maintains its top ranking on the women’s side, followed by Drury and Nova Southeastern. UIndy jumps over Tampa into the fourth spot, while Grand Valley holds on at No. 6.
West Florida joins this top 10 this week at No. 8, up from 11. West Chester falls out of the top 10, from ninth to 11th. Wingate is also down two spots, from seventh to ninth.
University of Missouri-St. Louis joins the poll in 25th.
Two more polls remain on the season, to be released Feb. 9 and March 1.
