Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am SO honored and excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Michigan. First of all, I truly could not have done this without the unwavering support of my family who have guided me every step of the way. Without my parents none of this would be possible, and I am so lucky to have such amazing people behind me. Next, thank you so much to Coach Shawn and the TOPS coaching staff who have helped me grow in and out of the pool, and helped me reach so many of my goals. Thank you to my friends and teammates who make swimming the very best part of my life and push me daily. Finally, I could not be more grateful to Coach Matt, Coach Aaron, and the rest of the Michigan staff for giving me this amazing opportunity. I’m so excited for what is to come! GO BLUE!! 〽️💙”
