Toledo Hires Indiana Diver Will Jansen as Diving Coach
Will Jansen, a standout diver at Indiana University, has been hired as the University of Toledo’s diving coach, the university announced last week.
Jansen dove for the Hoosiers from 2022-25. He competed at the Big Ten Championships during his career in Bloomington. Jansen spent last season as the head coach at Johansen Diving Academy.
“I am honored to join the University of Toledo swimming & diving team as the diving coach,” Jansen said in a press release. “I look forward to empowering our student-athletes both in the pool and as individuals. My goal is to ensure that every athlete in this program leaves the pool trusting themselves and their abilities.”
Jansen is a native of Fishers, Ind. He earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science.
As a freshman in 2023, he finished 20th in 1-meter diving at the Big Ten Championships, 16th in platform diving and 15th on 3-meter. He dove alongside NCAA champions Quinn Henninger, Carson Tyler and Andrew Capobianco.
“I am so excited to have Will join our staff,” Toledo head coach Jacy Dyer said. “Will is extremely passionate about diving. I can’t wait for him to bring that passion and excitement to the entire Toledo Swimming & Diving program. Will is going to do a great job building this diving program.”
