Psych Sheets Released for Junior Pan Pacific Championships; Audrey Derivaux in Five Events

The Junior Pan Pacific Championships will be held this week in Vancouver, and the psych sheets for the competition have been released. The biannual meet is scheduled for Monday through Thursday and features the best junior swimmers from the United States, Australia, Japan and Canada. The meet comes on the heels of the Pan Pacific Championships, which just wrapped up in Southern California with the United States topping the medals table.

Luka Mijatovic and Audrey Derivaux, both University of Texas recruits, will lead the United States squad. Mijatovic, coming off a 3:43.45 performance in the 400-meter freestyle at the U.S. Nationals, is the top seed in the 200 freestyle, 400 free, 800 free and 1500 free. As for Derivaux, she is embracing a multi-event schedule that includes the 100 and 200 butterfly, 200 and 400 individual medley and 200 backstroke.

Derivaux is making her second appearance at Junior Pan Pacs, having won the 100 fly and 200 fly at the 2024 edition of the meet in Canberra, Australia. That meet also saw Derivaux contribute to the United States’ winning 400 medley relay. Mijatovic was also a champion at the 2024 Pan Pacs, prevailing in the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle.
