Arkansas Earns Wins Against TCU, Drury
The University of Arkansas women have gotten off to a strong start in the 2026-27 season. The Razorbacks previously defeated four in-state opponents at the All-Arkansas Invitational, and they triumphed over two more teams Saturday, beating TCU 196-987 and Drury 209-83. Arkansas won all but one event on the day.
Arkansas’ Isabelle Leigh, Ellen Garritson, Alice Beltrame and Harriett Rogers took first in the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:39.95. Leigh then dominated the 100 backstroke (53.46), and Garritson was victorious by exactly one second in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.82). Garritson later added a second win in the 200 breast (2:15.29). Rogers swept first-place finishes in the 50 (22.77) and 100 freestyle (50.10), both in dominant fashion.
Hayden Gibson emerged on top in the 200 butterfly (2:01.51) and 200 back (2:00.66), and she finished off her day with a 4.58-second victory in the 200 IM in 2:04.16. Holly Robinson led the way in the 1000 free (10:26.43), followed by Viola Petrini topping the 200 free (1:50.64). Diver Maria-Jose Sanchez topped 1-meter (326.95) and 3-meter (365.40), and Leigh scored a second win with a dominant time of 53.41 in the 100 fly.
Petrini, Leigh, Gracie Colvin and Ashley Morton cruised to first place in the 400 free relay to conclude the day (3:25.41). TCU got its first and only win from Avery Dillon in the 500 free, her time of 4:58.27 defeating the field by almost 10 seconds.
