Moira Joiner had a game-high 20 points, including 15 in the second quarter, while helping the Michigan State women’s basketball team finish the regular season with a win.
Joiner was one of four players in double figures for the Spartans in a 78-52 victory over Wisconsin on Sunday afternoon at the Kohl Center.
The win was the fifth straight for the Spartans, who complete the regular season with a 22-7 record and 12-6 mark in the Big Ten. MSU finishes fourth in the Big Ten standings.
Julia Ayrault had 19 points and nine rebounds, DeeDee Hagemannn has 12 points and Theryn Hallock had 11 points off the bench for the Spartans.
The middle quarter were big for MSU as it gained separation. With the game tied at 14 after the opening quarter, MSU had a 27-10 advantage in the second quarter behind Joiner, who outscored Wisconsin by herself. The Spartans had a 23-16 edge in the third quarter.
Serah Williams had 17 points and 15 rebounds for Wisconsin.
