SMU Men’s Swimming & Diving had a dominant win in the home opener against Oklahoma Christian and Incarnate Word on Friday at Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center on Friday.
The No. 21 Mustangs beat Oklahoma Christian 194-78 and Incarnate Word 186-91.
The Mustangs took a clean sweep of first place in all 16 events, spotlighted by Luke Sitz and Grant Cates who both qualified for NCAA Zone Cuts on 3-meter and 1-meter. The diver duo has made it to NCAA Zones every season they have competed collegiately.
SMU Women’s Swimming & Diving swept its double dual season opener meet, beating Incarnate Word 211-78 and Oklahoma Christian 211-68.
The Mustangs won all 16 events, with Macey Oppliger highlighting the meet with two NCAA Zone Cuts on 3-meter and 1-meter. Oppliger qualified for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships on 1-meter and 3-meter in two consecutive seasons.
