Here is the latest news and possible return dates for injured Giants players…

Dec. 8, 12:50 a.m.

Rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers, listed as questionable with a hip flexor injury, will try to play against the New Orleans Saints, but the Giants are going to see how he feels during pregame warmups, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported early Sunday morning.

A source told Schefter if Nabers plays it “would be more of a limited role.”

In 10 games this year, Nabers has 740 yards on 75 receptions (9.9 yards per catch) with three touchdowns.

Dec. 6, 11:30 a.m.

Malik Nabers will miss Friday’s practice due to a hip flexor injury.

The star wide receiver underwent an MRI after suffering the injury during Thursday’s practice, and the Giants are not sure if he’ll be able to play this weekend against the New Orleans Saints.

Nabers was limited during that session due to a separate groin issue.

If Nabers is unable to go, veteran wideout Darius Slayton would likely see an increased role for Big Blue.

Dec. 5, 3:40 p.m.

Malik Nabers was listed as a limited participant in Thursday’s practice due to a groin injury. The rookie receiver has nursed a groin issue at varying points this season, so it’s entirely possible that the Giants are restricting his workload ahead of Sunday’s home game against the New Orleans Saints.

The Giants also upgraded quarterback Tommy DeVito (right forearm) to a full participant on Thursday, after being limited on Wednesday. He’ll serve as backup to Drew Lock, who was announced the starting quarterback by head coach Brian Daboll earlier this week. Starting offensive linemen Evan Neal (hip) and Jermaine Eluemunor (quad) were also upgraded to limited participants after missing Wednesday’s session.

A few players also missed practice for a second straight day, as linebacker Bobby Okereke (back), cornerback Deonte Banks (rib), and Rakeem Nunez-Roches (shoulder/neck) were sidelined.

Dec. 2, 4:09 p.m.

Dexter Lawrence‘s season is over.

The DT, who dislocated his elbow during the Giants’ loss to the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, has been placed on IR.

The news on Lawrence was expected.

Speaking after last week’s game, head coach Brian Daboll laid things out clearly.

“I anticipate it being long-term, which is the rest of the season,” Daboll said “I’m not very optimistic about it.”

While placing Lawrence on IR, the Giants signed DL Cory Durden from the Rams’ practice squad.

Joining Lawrence on IR is TE Theo Johnson, who hurt his foot against the Cowboys.

Nov. 28, 8:41 p.m.

Dexter Lawrence exited the Giants’ Thanksgiving game at the Dallas Cowboys in the third quarter due to what New York said was an elbow issue.

Lawrence told reporters after the game that he dislocated his elbow and is not sure on his timetable to return.

He made three tackles before his exit.

Nov. 24, 1:35 p.m.

The Giants have dealt with injuries on the offensive line all season long, and they may have suffered another blow on Sunday.

Jermaine Eluemunor, who has been filling in at left tackle for Andrew Thomas, left Sunday’s game against Tampa Bay after the first drive, with the team saying he has a quad injury and is questionable to return.

Chris Hubbard is into the game at left tackle.

Additionally, the Giants announced that edge rusher Azeez Ojulari has a toe injury and is questionable to return as well.

Nov. 24, 11:55 a.m.

While wide receiver Malik Nabers missed Friday’s practice due to a groin injury, the standout rookie is good to go and officially active for Sunday’s meeting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

There are no other surprises among Big Blue’s inactives for Sunday, with Tim Boyle inactive but still available as the emergency third quarterback.

Nov. 1, 3:31 p.m.

Running back Tyrone Tracy Jr., who returned to practice on Thursday, has been cleared from concussion protocol and will be active for Week 9 against the Washington Commanders.

Tracy left Monday night’s loss to the Steelers after hitting his head on the turf.

While the Giants are getting Tracy back, they’ve lost another kicker.

Greg Joseph has an oblique injury and will be out on Sunday. In Joseph’s place, former Rutgers kicker Jude McAtamney will be added to the active roster from the practice squad ahead of what will be his NFL debut.

Punter Jamie Gillan (hamstring) was also ruled out on Friday.

Reserve linebacker Ty Summers has been listed as questionable with an ankle injury.

Oct. 30, 1:40 p.m.

Head coach Brian Daboll provided a few injury updates ahead of Wednesday’s practice as the Giants prepare to host the Washington Commanders on Sunday.

Running back Tyrone Tracy Jr., who had a breakout game against the Steelers with 145 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries, remains in the concussion protocol and will not practice. Neither will tackle Josh Ezeudu, who is dealing with a knee injury.

Meanwhile, Dexter Lawrence will also not practice, but the Giants are merely giving him a rest day.

Sept. 26, 7:00 p.m.

The Giants have officially listed wide receiver Darius Slayton as active for Thursday night’s matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.

Slayton was added to the injury report with a questionable tag late in the week due to a thumb issue, but after going through pregame warmups it appears he’s good to go.

Big Blue’s inactives for the week include: Adoree’ Jackson, Dru Phillips, Anthony Johnson, Benton Whitley, Boogie Basham, Jake Kubas, and Tommy DeVito.

Sept. 25, 2:05 p.m.

The Giants will be down two cornerbacks this week.

Big Blue announced Wednesday that Adoree’ Jackson and Dru Phillips will be out for the Giants’ Week 4 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday with calf injuries. Both corners sustained the injury in Sunday’s win against the Cleveland Browns.

The Giants also listed WR Darius Slayton (thumb) as questionable.

Sept. 15, 1:18 p.m.

Giants kicker Graham Gano was injured on Sunday’s opening kickoff against the Washington Commanders, and is officially doubtful to return to the game.

Gano, whose name was added to the Giants’ injury report on Saturday with a groin issue (though he wasn’t given a game designation), was attempting to track down Washington returner Austin Ekeler on the opening kickoff and came up hobbling. To make matters worse, Gano’s efforts were ultimately for naught, as the would-be 98-yard touchdown was called back due to a holding penalty.

With Gano doubtful, it will likely mean that punter Jamie Gillan will need to handle kicking duties as well.

Sept. 12, 1:56 p.m.

Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton, who has been in concussion protocol, is making progress.

Slayton was in a red, non-contact jersey at Thursday’s practice.

If he is unable to play in Week 2 against the Commanders, it could mean more targets for Jalin Hyatt.

Sept. 9, 12:55 p.m.

PR/WR Gunner Olszewski injured his groin during warmups before Sunday’s Week 1 matchup against the Vikings.

The injury to Olszewski is expected to keep him out for “weeks.”
