Florida A&M women’s basketball has claimed its first victory of the 2024 season.
On Saturday, the Rattlers (1-8) hosted and dominated North Florida 85-57 at the Al Lawson Center.
FAMU guard Cheyenne McEvans led the Rattlers with 17 points. Three other FAMU players, Sabou Gueye (15 points), Sydney Hendrix (14 points), and Eve Alexander (12 points) scored in double figures.
The main reason for the Rattlers’ win was that they forced 36 turnovers by the Ospreys, led by McEvans’ six steals. The turnovers led to 45 points for FAMU.
The Rattlers’ next game is on the road at Samford University on Friday, Dec. 20.
