The 2026 ACC football season opens with games in Ireland and Virginia, five straight days of action over Labor Day weekend and a nine-game conference schedule for the first time. Here’s the complete week-by-week schedule, with dates, kickoff times, TV channels and streaming options.
2026 ACC Football: Key Dates
- Season kickoff (Week 0): Saturday, Aug. 29
- Labor Day weekend (Week 1): Thursday, Sept. 3 through Monday, Sept. 7
- Black Friday rivalry game: Friday, Nov. 27
- ACC Football Championship Game: Saturday, Dec. 5, at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina
This marks the ACC’s transition to a nine-game conference schedule. Twelve ACC programs will play nine league games and at least one Power Four non-conference opponent, while the remaining five programs will play eight league games and at least two Power Four non-conference opponents.

The ACC leads all conferences with 25 non-conference games against Power Four opponents and Notre Dame in 2026, including nine games against the SEC, five against the Big Ten, five against the Big 12 and six against Notre Dame. The conference will also again feature a heavy Friday night slate, with at least one ACC game in primetime in each of Weeks 1 through 6, plus additional Friday matchups later in the season, including Florida State at Pitt (Week 11) and Virginia Tech at Miami (Week 12).
