Jan. 29—UTPB’s Alexus Quaadman has been named the Lone Star Conference Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Quaadman had a strong week as UTPB went 2-0, recording victories over St. Edward’s on Thursday and St. Mary’s on Saturday.
She had nine rebounds and a blocked shot in the 68-63 win over St. Edward’s.
Quaadman also had 12 points and 18 rebounds as well as four blocked shots in UTPB’s 73-36 win over St. Mary’s.
UTPB is now 10-2 overall, 15-3 in conference play. ‘
The Falcons will next face Western New Mexico at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Silver City, N.M.
