ASHLAND — The Malone University women’s basketball team’s season came to a sudden end Friday.
Trevecca Nazarene outscored the Pioneers 26-12 in the fourth quarter and beat Malone 77-69 in the semifinals of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament. The Trojans will face host Ashland on Saturday for the title.

Erin Kaufman and Brinn Hunt scored 17 points apiece to lead Malone (17-12). Kaufman also grabbed 10 rebounds.
Brooklyn Troyer added 15 points and Aila Miller finished with 12 for the Pioneers.
