COLUMBIA — After defeating two ranked opponents last week, South Carolina women’s basketball remains No. 2 in the AP Top poll.
The USA TODAY Coaches poll will be released Tuesday. South Carolina was No. 2 last week.
The Gamecocks (18-1, 6-0 SEC) beat then No. 13 Oklahoma 101-60 on Sunday and then No. 19 Alabama 76-58 on Jan. 16. Sunday marked the 12th straight game in which South Carolina won by double digits, which is a program record.
Now, the Gamecocks turn their focus to No. 5 LSU (20-0, 5-0) for their game at Colonial Life Arena on Thursday (8 p.m., ESPN).
LSU is one of two teams in women’s college basketball still undefeated. No. 1 UCLA who South Carolina lost to on Nov. 24 is the other.
