With Tennessee Lady Vols basketball coach Kim Caldwell expecting a child any day now, a big question going into Tennessee’s game against No. 7 Texas on Thursday night is who might coach should Caldwell not be able to.
Assistant coach Jenna Burdette met with reporters Tuesday and said it would be a “collective effort,” and the school declined to say whether Caldwell would be present when No. 17 Tennessee (15-3, 3-3 SEC) travels to Austin, Texas, to face the No. 7 Longhorns (18-2, 4-1).
The Vols are coming off a last-second, 71-70 loss to Vanderbilt on Sunday.

Tennessee Lady Vols basketball at Texas predictions, picks, odds
Knox News reporter Cora Hall’s prediction: Texas 84, Tennessee 72
The Longhorns are going to be too much of a challenge for the Lady Vols on the road, especially after the way they have competed against top teams in SEC play. If Tennessee falls into an early deficit, it won’t be able to come back against a strong Texas team..
