It’s been a while since the Marquette’s men’s basketball team has had some home cooking.
After two conference victories on the road, the No. 8 Golden Eagles (12-2 overall, 3-0 in the Big East) return to Fiserv Forum for the first time since Dec. 18 to face the Creighton Bluejays.
Marquette has won all eight of its home games, but Creighton (9-5, 2-1) has eight victories in the last 12 meetings with MU. The teams split last season.
The Golden Eagles will have to contain Creighton center Ryan Kalkbrenner, a senior center averaging 17.2 points and 7.8 rebounds a game. He’s also a three-time defensive player of the year in the conference.

Marquette’s Kam Jones continues to be a favorite for Big East player of the year, averaging 20.1 points a game and 6.6 assists.
Both teams are coming off victories earlier in the week. Marquette throttled Providence, 78-50, and Creighton edged St John’s. 57-56.
