BATON ROUGE – LSU women’s basketball looks to carry over the momentum it opened Southeastern Conference play from its 98-64 trouncing of Arkansas on the road to its next game.
The No. 4 Tigers (16-0, 1-0 SEC) host Auburn (9-5, 0-1) for its SEC opener inside Pete Maravich Assembly Center Sunday afternoon.
LSU and Auburn had some battles with each other last season with Auburn defeating LSU in Auburn last season followed by LSU edging them in Baton Rouge before Kim Mulkey’s team routed Auburn in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals.
This season will be different however as Auburn doesn’t have Honesty Scott-Grayson anymore. Auburn has also been dealing with rash of injuries to some of its top players, highlighted by sophomore guard Taliah Scott who has only played in three games.
