MANHATTAN — Kansas State basketball coach Jerome Tang has stressed the importance of protecting the home court in the Big 12, and after dropping two straight games on the road in the past week, the Wildcats desperately need to get back on track Saturday against Houston.
Tipoff between the Wildcats (7-7, 1-2 Big 12) and No. 11-ranked Houston (11-3, 3-0) is set for 5 p.m. at Bramlage Coliseum.
After opening conference play with a 70-67 home victory against Cincinnati, K-State blew a six-point lead in the final three minutes to fall at TCU last Saturday, 63-62, and then took a step backward Tuesday in a 79-66 setback at Oklahoma State.
