The winter sports season has athletes preparing to dominate on the field and the court. The hours spent on the practice court paid off for 38 athletes, who earned Star-Banner Athlete of the Week nominations.
In this week’s field of competition lies several basketball players who scored career highs. Not to be out done, soccer stars scored goals at ridiculous rates. More of a strength athlete? We have a pair of first-place girls weightlifters working toward their max.
