Vanderbilt women’s basketball has its highest SEC Tournament seed since 2011, and a strong performance in Greenville, South Carolina, could put the Commodores in the NCAA Tournament.
The No. 6 seed Commodores (22-8) are in search of their first March Madness berth in a decade. Vanderbilt is projected as a No. 10 or 11 seed in expert bracket picks, among the last handful of teams in the tournament. Most important for the Commodores will be avoiding a bad loss in their first game as they are slated to face No. 11 Florida (14-14) on Thursday. The winner will advance to play No. 3 Ole Miss in the quarterfinals on Friday.
