Tim Prangley, Trojans Wire
Plain and simple, USC recruiting has not been good enough under Lincoln Riley. The Trojans have signed several top-15 classes, but he has yet to deliver the top-five ones that were expected when USC paid over $100 million to hire him away from Oklahoma.
Much of that falls on the Trojans not having a true general manager. In today’s era of NIL, a GM is arguably the second most important person in a college football program, behind only the head coach.
According to some reports, USC plans to hire a general manager this offseason. Riley better get on that sooner rather than later, or else the Trojans will continue to miss out on top talent.
