The UFC’s penultimate pay-per-view of 2024 went down Saturday with UFC 309 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The main event saw heavyweight champion Jon Jones (28-1 MMA, 22-1 UFC) return from a 20-month layoff to take on Stipe Miocic (20-5 MMA, 14-5 UFC), and “Bones” blew through it with relative ease en route to a third-round TKO that further etched his name in the all-time octagon record books.

UFC 309 drew an announced attendance of 20,200 for a live gate of $16,673,954.

Oliveira (35-10 MMA, 23-10 UFC) improved to 14-3 since he returned to the UFC lightweight division April 2017. He’s 16-5 with one no contest in the organization at 155 pounds.

Oliveira’s 23 UFC victories are tied with Andrei Arlovski and Donald Cerrone for second-most in company history behind Jim Miller (27).

Oliveira has been awarded 20 fight-night bonuses for UFC bouts, the most in company history.

Chandler (23-9 MMA, 2-4 UFC) has been awarded a fight-night bonus in five of his six UFC appearances.

Bo Nickal def. Paul Craig

Bo Nickal (7-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) earned the first decision victory of his career.

Nickal’s four-fight UFC winning streak at middleweight is tied for the fourth-longest active streak in the division behind Dricus Du Plessis (eight), Caio Borralho (seven) and Anthony Hernandez (six).

Paul Craig (17-9-1 MMA, 9-9 fell to 1-3 since he dropped to the middleweight division in July 2023.

Craig suffered the first decision loss of his career.

Mauricio Ruffy def. James Llontop

Mauricio Ruffy (11-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) earned the first decision victory of his career.

James Llontop (14-5 MMA, 0-3 UFC) has suffered three of his five career losses by decision.
