The TYR Pro Swim Series continued from Knoxville on Saturday.
The final day’s prelims session consists of the 100 backstroke, 200 breaststroke, 200 IM and 50 free.
TYR Pro Swim Series: Women’s 100 Backstroke
Two swimmers broke a minute in the prelims of the women’s 200 backstroke to kick off the session.
NC State’s Katharine Berkoff led the field with a time of 59.06, finishing a half second ahead of Isabelle Stadden (59.56).
Wolfpack’s Rhyan White and Virginia’s Claire Curzan tied for the third seed with swims of 1:00.25.

Men’s 100 Backstroke
NC State’s Kacper Stokowski led a tight field in the men’s 100 backstroke. He took the top seed for finals with a swim of 54.11.
Four other swimmers broke 55 seconds with Shaine Casas took the second seed in 54.16, followed by Jonny Marshall (54.63), Kieran Smith (54.80) and Justin Ress (54.98).

Kate Douglass continued her quick performances this weekend with a top seed in the 200 breaststroke. The world champion got to the wall in 2:23.04, four seconds ahead of the field.
Tennessee’s Mona McSharry took the second spot in 2:27.43, followed by Indiana’s Lilly King (2:27.83) and Virginia’s Ella Nelson (2:29.06).

Alon Baer claimed the top seed in the men’s 200 breast, getting to the wall in 2:15.07.
Four other swimmers were sub-2:16, not including Nic Fink who took the sixth seed at 2:16.23.
Grant Sanders took the second spot in 2:15.51, followed by Joshua Chen (2:15.62).

Women’s 200 IM
Virginia’s Alex Walsh put together the fastest 200 IM during prelims to take the top seed into finals. She got to the wall in 2:10.84, about three seconds off of her seed time, but more than a second ahead of the field.
Sarasota’s Summer McIntosh claimed the second seed in 2:12.21, followed by Canada compatriot Ashley McMillan (2:14.15), Texas’ Kelly Pash (2:14.69) and Wisconsin’s Beata Nelson (2:14.87).
