Indiana women’s basketball can vault itself into the national spotlight and take the Big Ten lead when it visits Iowa on Saturday night.
The No. 13 (USA TODAY) Hoosiers (14-1, 5-0 Big Ten) have won 13 straight games, rallying from a 9-point, third-quarter deficit on Wednesday to beat Penn State 75-67. Mackenzie Holmes had 21 points and 13 rebounds, and Sydney Parrish continued her hot stretch with 20 points. Parrish is averaging 18 points, hitting 11-of-17 3-pointers, over her past three games.
No. 3 Iowa (16-1, 5-0) has also won 13 straight games and is coming off a blowout of Purdue. Caitlin Clark produced her second consecutive triple-double and Kate Martin added 15 points and 8 rebounds.
These teams split their games last season, with each team winning at home. Clark hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer in Iowa City to boost the Hawkeyes to an 86-85 victory.
