The ITTF Umpires and Referee Committee hosted a productive “Train the Trainer” Workshop from 22 to 24 November 2024, in Doha, Qatar. This initiative aimed to enhance the skills of trainers, focusing particularly on didactical methods and social skills, essential for effective training delivery.
Led by ITTF trainers CK Chan and Werner Thury, the workshop welcomed 14 participants from 12 countries, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among the global table tennis community. Omar Refaat Bassyouni from ITTF Development also joined the workshop, contributing to discussions on the Committee’s development plans for 2025.
This workshop marked another significant step in the journey toward the ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals 2025, set to take place in Doha from 17 to 25 May.
