GREENVILLE, S.C. – Lady Vols basketball plays undefeated South Carolina for a third time this weekend.
Tennessee (19-11) plays the No. 1 Gamecocks (30-0) in the SEC Tournament semifinal at Bon Secours Wellness Arena on Saturday (4:30 pm. ET, ESPNU). The Lady Vols demolished Alabama in the quarterfinals, winning 83-61 to advance to their fourth straight semifinal. South Carolina beat Texas A&M 79-68 on Friday to advance.
Tennessee coach Kellie Harper said she probably doesn’t even need to write up a new scouting report for the team for their third matchup with South Carolina in the last three weeks.
“The scouting report is fresh on our minds,” Harper said Friday. “We understand what we’re up against. We get it. We know how talented they are. But I think the way we’ve played, hopefully we have some confidence going in and we can tweak some things and give our players a game plan that they’re going to be excited about.”
