South Carolina women’s basketball is on the road in search of its 20th win when it takes on Auburn at 8 p.m. Thursday (SEC Network+) in Auburn, Alabama.
The No. 1 Gamecocks (19-0, 7-0 SEC) look to extend a 14-game win streak over the Tigers (14-6, 3-4). In the all-time series, South Carolina holds a 29-21 advantage.
Senior Kamilla Cardoso tied a season-high with 23 points last time out against Vanderbilt. The center, who leads the Gamecocks with 13.7 points per game while averaging 10.3 rebounds, continues to develop into a dominant force.
Auburn’s Neville Arena has already been home to one major SEC upset this season. The Tigers downed then-No. 4 LSU, 67-62, in front of the program’s largest-ever home crowd on Jan. 14.
Auburn is paced by graduate guard Honesty Scott-Grayson, who is scoring 16.2 points per game and had 21 points in the win over LSU. Senior forward Taylen Collins is scoring 8.4 points and grabbing 6.4 rebounds an outing. The Tigers are allowing only 61.1 points per game, the best mark in the SEC.
