South Carolina favored to win women’s college hoops title; LSU in the hunt

The two-time national champion South Carolina Gamecocks and defending champion LSU Lady Tigers are battling for the top spot in the Southeastern Conference in women’s college basketball.

They’re also engaged in a hot battle on the oddsboard, as both teams are among the favorites to win the title in April.

The odds for the Gamecocks to win it all (14-0) remain at +310.

The Lady Tigers have won 15 in a row since opening the season with a 92-78 loss to Colorado, but their odds went to +360 from +350.

Tied for third are the UCLA Bruins and the UConn Huskies at +850. Paige Bueckers and the Huskies went to +850 from +1000 with an eight-game winning streak after starting the season 4-3.

The odds for the Iowa Hawkeyes dipped to +1000 from +900 despite Caitlin Clark & Co. being on a 12-game winning streak.

Baylor went to +1200 from +2000 after improving to 14-0, including four wins over ranked teams.

Texas improved to +3000 after being at +10000, as Texas’ lone defeat was against the Bears at the end of December.
