COLUMBIA — South Carolina women’s basketball is set for a late-night top 10 matchup on Thursday.
The No. 4 Gamecocks (7-1) host No. 9 Duke on Thursday (9 p.m., ESPN) in Colonial Life Arena for the 2024 SEC/ACC Challenge. It’s first game since the Fort Myers Tip-Off tournament where they went 2-0, taking down then No. 15 Iowa State on Thursday and Purdue on Saturday. South Carolina beat Duke 77-61 in the Jimmy V Classic on Dec. 3, 2023.
The Blue Devils (8-1) beat SEC newcomer Oklahoma in overtime on Nov. 27. Both programs have accomplished coaches in Kara Lawson and Dawn Staley, with Lawson looking for a second SEC win, and Staley looking for a third-straight win of the season.
