NORMAN — OU football has two games remaining this season but the program’s offensive coordinator search has been top of mind.
Venables expressed there is urgency to make the hire ahead of the transfer portal opening on Dec. 9. He was even asked about former Florida coach Dan Mullen’s candidacy, which he declined to comment about except to say he reached out to him for last year’s vacancy.
In addition to Mullen, Washington State offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle and Tulane offensive coordinator Joe Craddock are names that have been floated as potential hires.
