Blair Kinghorn will start at full-back for Scotland in Saturday’s Calcutta Cup meeting with England at Murrayfield.

Toulouse’s Kinghorn, 27, had missed the opening two matches in this season’s Six Nations and replaces Harry Paterson.

Kyle Steyn takes over from Kyle Rowe on the right wing for Gregor Townsend’s side.

The only change in the pack is Jamie Ritchie at blindside flanker, with Matt Fagerson dropping out.

After opening with a narrow win away over Wales, the Scots succumbed to a home defeat by France in round two. England have beaten Italy away and Wales at home so far.

Townsend’s side have won the past three Calcutta Cup contests.

Scotland: Kinghorn, Steyn, Jones, Tuipulotu, Van der Merwe, Russell (co-capt), White; Schoeman, Turner, Fagerson, Gilchrist, Cummings, Ritchie, Darge (co-capt), Dempsey.

Replacements: Ashman, Hepburn, Skinner, Christie, Horne, Healy, Redpath.
