Dec. 7—IRONWOOD, Mich. — The Rochester Community and Technical College women’s basketball won in a rout for the second straight day, this time pounding Gogebic Community College 91-49 in non-conference play.
The game was close through the first quarter, RCTC with just a three-point lead. But the Yellowjackets outscored Gobegic 18-5 in the second quarter and then proceeded to romp from there.
Allana Bates, Aniyah Reuben and Nyomi Crushshon each had 17 points for the Yellowjackets, while Macaya Copeland had 16. Bates added 10 rebounds and nine assists, and shot 7-for-15 from the field, including 3-for-7 on 3-pointers. Reuben had nine rebounds and three assists.
All four of them had three steals. Makadayn Gust came off the bench to score eight points and grab six steals.
RCTC shot 46 percent from the field.
The Yellowjackets move to 6-3 overall. Gobegic is 1-8.
