OU men’s basketball faces perhaps its toughest test of the season in the Jumpman Invitational on Wednesday.
The No. 14 Sooners (10-0) face No. 24 Michigan (8-2) on Wednesday (8 p.m., ESPN2) at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, for their fifth Power Four nonconference game. OU has defeated Arizona, Georgia Tech, Louisville and Oklahoma State.
The Wolverines are led by first-year coach Dusty May, who spent six seasons at Florida Atlantic. May led the Owls to the Final Four in 2023. Former OSU head coach Mike Boynton is now an assistant coach for the Wolverines.

OU is one of five teams still undefeated nationally.
The Sooners are joined by SEC foes Florida and Tennessee, as well as Drake and Utah State as teams still perfect. OU is 2-0 against ACC squads and 2-0 against members of the Big 12.
Coach Porter Moser led the Sooners to a Battle 4 Atlantis tournament title where senior Jalon Moore was named MVP.
Moser has led OU to back-to-back 10-0 starts for the first time in program history.

As of Tuesday, OU ranks 41st in NET and 37th in KenPom. In comparison, Michigan ranks 27th in NET and 22nd in KenPom.
The Wolverines shoot 50.4% from the field, which ranks 11th nationally. The Sooners average 10.2 steals per game, which ranks 13th nationally.

The Sooners and Wolverines have met three times, with Michigan holding a 2-1 series lead.
The two teams are 1-1 in neutral site contests. OU won the last contest between the two programs 73-63 in the second round of the 2009 NCAA Tournament.

Guard Jeff Nwankwo suffered an Achilles tear during the offseason and was slated to return to practice in December. Moser said recently Nwankwo has been working out individually without live contact.
