by

The Nebraska women’s basketball team helped set a television record over the weekend. The Huskers upset over the Iowa Hawkeyes pulled in a record 1,772,000 million views on FOX, making it the most watch-watched women’s college basketball game in FOX Sports history.

On Sunday afternoon the Huskers upset the Iowa Hawkeyes 82-79. The Cornhuskers played in front of a sellout crowd of 15,042 at Pinnacle Bank Arena, a school record for the arena as well.

Jaz Shelley led the way for Nebraska, scoring a season-high 23 points. Hawkeye All-American Caitlin Clark finished with 31 points, ten assists, and eight rebounds but went scoreless in the fourth quarter.

Nebraska is 16-8 on the season and 8-5 in the Big Ten. The Cornhuskers will retake the floor on Wednesday night when they travel to Columbus to face No. 2 Ohio State.

Tip-off is at 6:00 p.m. CT on Peacock.
