STARKVILLE — Mississippi State women’s basketball closes its regular season on Sunday with a matchup against Missouri at Humphrey Coliseum. The Bulldogs are looking to snap a five-game losing streak, which was capped by Thursday’s loss at Auburn.
MSU (20-10, 7-8 SEC) will be honoring its seniors − Jessika Carter, Erynn Barnum, Lauren Park-Lane and Jerkaila Jordan − prior to the contest. Jordan, though, has another year of eligibility if she elects to return next season.
Missouri (11-17, 2-13) is in last place of the conference standings. The Tigers have lost 10 straight, with the most recent defeat coming against Vanderbilt on Thursday.

Sunday marks the first meeting this season between MSU and Mizzou. The Tigers are led by coach Robin Pingeton who is in her 14th season at the helm while the Bulldogs are coached by Sam Purcell in his second season.
Mississippi State enters Sunday, according to ESPN, as one of the last four teams projected in the NCAA Tournament field.
