NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Mississippi State basketball opens play in the second round of the SEC tournament on Thursday with a rematch against LSU.
The Bulldogs (19-12), playing as the No. 9-seed, defeated the No. 8-seeded Tigers (17-14) on Feb. 24. The victory was one of only two true road wins for Mississippi State this season.
MSU was paced by freshman guard Josh Hubbard in the matchup. He scored 32 points, which was a career high for three days before he beat that mark against Kentucky.
