LSU women’s basketball falls out of the top 10 in latest AP Top 25

by

The Tigers got back on track on Sunday, ending a two-game losing streak with a 40-point win over Florida. But unfortunately, as far as the latest rankings are concerned, the damage had already been done.

For the first time this season, the LSU women’s basketball team fell out of the top 10 in the AP Top 25 on Monday, dropping four spots from No. 9 to No. 13.

The Tigers sit at 19-4 on the season, but heading into Sunday’s game against the Gators, they had dropped three of their last five. That big win over Florida should help the team regain some confidence, however, as it heads into the back half of SEC play.

LSU will return to the court on Thursday when it hits the road to take on a Vanderbilt team that is currently projected to make the NCAA tournament.
