Jacksonville State women’s basketball is starting their run in the CUSA tournament on Thursday when they face Louisiana Tech.
The Gamecocks earned a bye as the fifth seed, after they finished in a tie for fourth-place. They are on a hot streak winning six of their last 10 games, after a dismal 1-5 start to conference play.
The Gamecocks (12-16) will face the Lady Bulldogs (13-18) at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville at 11:30 a.m. The Gamecocks are led by Bre’Anna Rhodes with 8.4 points and 4.7 rebounds per game and Kristol Ayson with eight points per game. The Lady Bulldogs beat the Gamecocks in both of the earlier matchups this season, the first loss by 14 and the second by 10 points.
