ISSF President Luciano Rossi has paid tribute to the remarkable advancement in Pakistan’s shooting sport success and infrastructure during a landmark visit to the country.
President Rossi, pictured centre, praised the efforts of the National Rifle Association of Pakistan (NRAP) and the shooting community for their dedication to enhancing the sport within the country and the great efforts made by those in charge of the NRAP leadership to improve shooting sport in Pakistan.
“I would like to express my appreciation of the NRAP leadership,” said President Rossi, “and also to their athletes who have earned Olympic quota places for the 2024 Games.
“I wish them success and the best of luck in Paris.”
Pakistan athletes have so far earned three Paris 2024 quota places through Gulfam Joseph in the 10m air pistol men, Ghulam Mustafa Bashir in the 25m rapid fire pistol men and Kishmala Talat in the 10m air pistol women.
As a gesture of recognition on this milestone occasion, ISSF President Rossi presented a Merit Award to Pakistan’s International Olympic Committee (IOC) member H.E.Syed Shahid Ali, pictured second right.
The award acknowledged the IOC member’s significant contributions to the advancement of sports in Pakistan and his pivotal role in promoting the Olympic Movement within the nation.
