The UConn women’s basketball team defeated Xavier 81-27 Wednesday despite star Paige Bueckers being out.
As of Thursday afternoon, news regarding her availability in UConn’s next game against Georgetown had yet to be announced. However, Geno Auriemma, head coach of the UConn women’s basketball team, said she might miss a few games.
Bueckers left Sunday’s game against Villanova with a knee injury late in the third quarter. UConn went on to win that game, 83-52.
In the game against Xavier Wednesday, UConn’s Azzi Fudd led all scorers with 23 points.
