AMES − The Iowa State women’s basketball team is reaching the final stages of the regular season. And there’s not much room for error.
The Cyclones will need to take care of business at home in order to stay in the NCAA Tournament picture. That starts Saturday when they host BYU at 6 p.m. at Hilton Coliseum.
Iowa State has become one of the biggest surprise stories of the season. The young Cyclones squad has taken down two top-10 teams and moved into consideration for the NCAA Tournament.
If they are going to stay in the hunt, they have to avoid any major stumbles at the end of the season. That includes losing at home to a BYU team that has a 5-10 record in Big 12 play.
