Georgia women’s basketball vs Texas A&M today: Live score, highlights from Thursday

by

Georgia women’s basketball will find a familiar face on the opponents’ bench this Thursday when they head to Texas A&M.

Former Georgia coach Joni Taylor now leads the Aggies, who are 8-8 overall and also 1-3 in SEC play. The Lady Bulldogs might actually have a chance to make some waves, but the lack of home fans with this being in the Lone Star State will sure be a damper. They’re 0-3 away and 2-2 on neutral sites this season.

Both teams are coming in off losses. Georgia dropped an 11-point contest to Mississippi State and Texas A&M lost to No. 10 Oklahoma, both on Sunday.

It’s the third meeting between Taylor and Katie Abrahamson-Henderson since 2022 when Taylor left for A&M. Abrahamson-Henderson was subsequently brought aboard from UCF. Taylor won their first matchup 75-73 in Texas in 2023, while Abrahamson Henderson retaliated with a 54-50 win in Athens in 2024. As you can see, it’s been a very tight two years. Who’s going to pull ahead?
