Georgia basketball vs Oklahoma today: Live score, highlights from Saturday

by

Georgia basketball is having a season that could go down in the history books by March, and SEC play just started.

The unranked Bulldogs are coming into their third ranked matchup in a row on a high. They managed to fend off No. 7 Kentucky for their highest ranked win in more than two decades Tuesday — the last was also against Kentucky in 2004.

At 13-2, they’re led by four different players averaging double figures when they hit the court: Asa Newell, De’Shayne Montgomery, Dakota Leffew and Silas Demary Jr.

Tyrin Lawrence adds an average of 9.9 and Blue Cain 8.5 to round out their top six.

No. 16 Oklahoma lost its first-ever SEC game to Alabama, 107-79, on Jan. 4, their first loss of the season to make them 13-1. The Sooners are averaging 12.4 more points per game than their opponents, led by freshman guard and ESPN top 100 recruit Jeremiah Fears and senior forward Jalon Moore, who are both pulling in an average of 17.9 points per game (as of Wednesday).
