The No. 25 Huskers continued their five-game home stretch by hosting Lindenwood on Tuesday night. Nebraska battled the Lions in a low scoring bout which remained close until the fourth quarter. The Huskers erupted in the final 10 minutes, outscoring Lindenwood 23-7 to get the 69-48 win.
The Huskers shot 29-of-64 from the field, nine of their made baskets occurring in the fourth. The Lions landed 17-of-55 from the field and held a 30-27 lead over Nebraska into halftime. But the Huskers’ shut down Lindenwood in the fourth, delivering an 18-1 run in the final six minutes.
Britt Prince led the team in scoring, dropping 14 points and going 5-of-9 from the field. Callin Hake also delivered double-digit points, tallying up 12 points along with six rebounds.
Lexi Markowski delivered another double-double on the night, scoring 11 points and hauling in 11 rebounds. She also dropped eight points in the fourth quarter. Petra Bozan rounded out Nebraska’s double-digit scorers, finishing with 10 points by going 5-of-7 from the field.
The Huskers improve to 7-1 on the season and face their first Big Ten opponent of the season, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, on Sunday afternoon. Tipoff is set for 1:00 p.m. CT on the Big Ten Network.
