World Championships, Day 5 Finals: Finlay Knox Wins 200IM From Lane Seven; Foster & Razzetti On Podium

Finlay Knox won 200IM gold from lane seven after coming through on the final 50 at the World Championships in Doha.

Carson Foster led USA teammate Shaine Casas at the final turn with Knox third before a 27.79 final 50 saw the Canadian into the wall in 1:56.64.

With that, the 23-year-old took 0.62 from his national record of 1:57.26 set in March 2023 as he claimed his first global title.






Foster won the fourth individual silver of his career in 1:56.97 while Alberto Razzetti came from fifth at the 150 to take bronze in 1:57.42, with the Italian claiming his second medal of the meet following 200 fly silver.
