The FGCU women’s basketball team is back in the Big Dance.
The top-seeded Eagles (29-4) punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament with a 76-47 win over No. 3 Central Arkansas in Saturday’s Atlantic Sun Conference championship game at Alico Arena. It’s the 11th overall ASUN title and eighth in a row for FGCU, which now holds a 36-2 all-time mark in the conference tournament.
The Eagles will learn who they’re facing in the first round of the NCAAs sometime after 8 p.m. Sunday when the Women’s March Madness Bracket is revealed live on ESPN. FGCU is hosting a free watch party at Alico Arena with doors opening to the public at 7 p.m. It will be FGCU’s 10th March Madness appearance.
