Only one team stands in the way of Texas football making it to the College Football Playoff national title game.
After beating the Arizona State Sun Devils in the Peach Bowl, the Longhorns return to the College Football Playoff semifinals. Texas, the CFP’s No. 5 seed, survived a furious comeback and overtime against ASU, the No. 4 seed, in a battle of the last two Big 12 champions.
Last season Texas lost in the semifinal to Michael Penix Jr.’s Washington team 37-31 in the Sugar Bowl.
