When are the College Football Playoff quarterfinal games?

The first-ever 12-team College Football Playoff continues with the quarterfinal round, with No. 6 Penn State taking on No. 3 Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl, No. 5 Texas playing No. 4 Arizona State in the Peach Bowl, No. 8 Ohio State facing No. 1 Oregon in the Rose Bowl and No. 7 Notre Dame opposing No. 2 Georgia in the Sugar Bowl.

Here’s what you need to know about how to watch the College Football Playoff games in the quarterfinal round, including dates, times, TV channel, streaming information and announcers for the games.

In one CFP semifinal, the Fiesta Bowl winner will take on the Sugar Bowl winner in the Jan. 9 Orange Bowl. The second semifinal, to be played in the Jan. 10 Cotton Bowl, the winner of the Rose Bowl meets the winner of the Peach Bowl.

One College Football Playoff quarterfinal game, the Fiesta Bowl (Penn State vs Boise State), is on Tuesday, Dec. 31.

The other three, the Peach Bowl (Texas vs. Arizona State), Rose Bowl (Ohio State vs. Oregon) and Sugar Bowl (Notre Dame vs. Georgia) are Wednesday, Jan. 1.

What times are the College Football Playoff quarterfinal games?

The Fiesta Bowl on Dec. 31 begins at 5:30 p.m. MST  (7:30 p.m. ET).

The Jan. 1 quarterfinal matchups start with the Peach Bowl at 11 a.m. MST (1 p.m. ET), followed by the Rose Bowl at 3 p.m. MST (5 p.m. ET) and the Sugar Bowl 6:45 p.m. MST (8:45 p.m. ET).
