The cause of the fire that burned down actress Cara Delevingne‘s $7M home has been revealed by her parents.

As previously reported, the actress’s L.A. property was engulfed in flames and ultimately was burnt to a crisp. Cara was not home at the time of the devastating fire, as she was in London in the midst of performing in the musical ‘Cabaret.’

As previously reported, flames were reportedly seen around 3:52 a.m., and the Los Angeles Fire Department responded after receiving a call around 3:57 a.m. PST.

Parts of the roof collapsed, and it reportedly took firefighters around two hours to contain the flames.

Luckily, the actress was out of town on business when flames engulfed her home. She later revealed her precious fur babies were also rescued and are alive and well.

The ‘Only Murders In The Building’ actress addressed later broke her silence on the horrific fire, taking to her Instagram Story.

First, she shared a photo of her two Persian cats, letting the fans know her precious babies were safe. “They are alive!! Thank you to the firefighters,” Cara wrote, adding a red heart emoji.

“My heart is broken today… I cannot believe it. Life can change in a blink of an eye. So cherish what you have,” she said on her Instagram Story before sharing a video of multiple fire trucks outside her Los Angeles property.

She thanked the first responders for braving the flames and putting the fire out, “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the firefighters and people that have showed up to help.”

Cara Delevingne’s parents have now revealed the cause of the fire that destroyed their daughter’s $7 million Los Angeles mansion.

When the press caught up with the actress’s parents, they were asked if they knew what caused the fire, to which her father replied by stating, “electrical,” per Daily Mail. Her mother added that her daughter was “devastated.”

“She had everything in her house, her whole life,” Cara’s mother said, adding, “She built it, she made it. She has everything in it.”

Cara’s father later added that “something fell on a power line” amid “very windy” weather in the area.

Unfortunately, not all first responders made it out of the fire alive. Additionally, an emergency official reportedly fell from a ladder and sustained some injuries while attempting to control the fire, however, a source says he is okay.

A total of 94 firefighters in 13 different fire trucks responded to the scene. There were also four ambulances at the L.A. home in case of any medical emergency.

The devastating fire comes just months after Cara Delevingne spoke out on her sobriety, admitting it “hasn’t been easy,” but she is “stable.”

“It hasn’t [been easy], but there have never been moments when I’m like, ‘This isn’t worth it.’ It’s been worth every second. I just don’t know what it would take for me to give it up,” the actress told ELLE UK, “I am stable. I’m calmer.”

The ‘Suicide Squad’ actress later admitted, “For a long time, I felt like I was hiding a lot from people who looked up to me. I finally feel as though I can be free and myself, fully.”

In 2020, everyone was in lockdown due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, something that has affected so many, especially with mental health — including Cara. “There’s a part of feeling invincible when you’re on drugs. It put me in danger at that time because I didn’t care about my life,” she told Vogue at the time.

Adding, “[during the pandemic] I had a complete existential crisis. My whole sense of belonging, my whole sense of validation, my whole identity, everything, was wrapped up in the job. When that went away, I felt like I had no purpose. I was just worthless without work and that was scary.”
