Can at 10 and two, Tennessee team with a loss to Arkansas but a win over Alabama get into the college football playoff fits.
I think so, man.
Now they’re, they’re in that category where I think they’re gonna need a lot of help.
Like everything else has got to break really well for them because they’re not gonna get into the SEC championship.
I, I mean, look, we, we have so much chaos in the SEC.
Maybe they somehow end up in the SEC championship game.
I’ll acknowledge that, but right now it looks difficult for them to end up in the SEC championship game.
Right.
So, and presuming that there isn’t wild chaos everywhere else.
Yeah, like I’m suddenly looking at this and saying, ok, if you’re Tennessee, your resume is basically written, is that gonna be good enough to get in?
Yeah.
Unless we’re suddenly talking about a BYU team that loses, uh to Colorado for the big 12 championship and now too big like big thieves, Tennessee is now a team that has to worry about big thieves to me.
And I feel like we’ve seen this time and time again that late losses in the season, no matter how, no matter if they go 10 and two or not, no matter if they beat Alabama, like, late losses, especially like the one against Georgia where, you know, it was a close game but, you know, wasn’t, was a two score loss really hurt you when, when it comes down to committee time, especially on the bubble conversation when it’s gonna come down to, you know, a two loss versus maybe a one loss big 10 team.
But like, depending on how this plays out, they could have used the trash touchdown at the end.
Like, as much as we like to see final score.
Yeah, 14 points is just gonna feel, oh, and it was 14 points where they just, they got manhandle.
I, I, one thing I’ve learned from talking to committee members too is like, they genuinely value cy speed control.
Like these things that, you know, when you, when you go out there and you’re just sort of getting whooped around the field that sticks in their head.
The committee has shown us they don’t mind leaving a two loss sec team on the outside looking in because Georgia was on the outside looking in and this past week in the rankings and Georgia had quote unquote quality losses on their schedule.
I think if you’re a Tennessee fan, you’re going to be the world’s biggest Ohio State fan.
You want Ohio State to absolutely blow the doors off of Indiana.
So badly that 11 1 Indiana team is left out of the college football playoff.
You’ve got to be the world’s biggest army fan, which we all are.
We love and support our troops.
But you’re gonna, you want army to blow the doors off of Notre Dame so much so that Notre Dame falls outside of the top 12.
Right now, Tennessee is an uncomfortable position because they don’t control their own destiny.
