BLOOMINGTON — Former Northwestern High School star Kendall Bostic led the way as Illinois beat Indiana 68-54 in a Big Ten women’s basketball game on Thursday night at Assembly Hall.
Bostic played a full 40 minutes for the fourth straight game and finished with game highs of 21 points and eight rebounds. She made 9 of 19 shots from the field, including 1 of 2 from 3-land. She made both of her free throw attempts. She also had three assists and one blocked shot.
Bostic scored 13 points in the first half, leading the Illini to a 35-22 halftime lead.
Sydney Parrish, Chloe Moore-McNeil and Shay Ciezki led IU with 13 points apiece. Parrish took a team-high seven rebounds.
Illinois improved to 13-4 overall and 3-3 in the Big Ten while Indiana dropped to 12-5 and 4-2.
Illinois hosts No. 22 Michigan State on Sunday.
